Cesare Luporini. Per una pedagogia critica

The volume gathers ten texts written by Cesare Luporini (1909–1993)—a central figure in twentieth-century Italian philosophy and a Senator of the Republic active in the Communist Party—interpreted through a pedagogical lens. Luporini’s Marxism, internationally recognized, stands out for its rejection of any economistic or mechanistic reduction of social reality and represents a model of philosophy capable of uniting moral rigor with political commitment. His philosophy, including its educational implications, cannot be understood without acknowledging that, for him, thought develops in its authentic form only when it confronts the moral and historical conditions that circumscribe and dramatize it. This is a critical reflection capable of translating itself into collective praxis, also within the field of the human and social sciences—and particularly pedagogy—with the aim of transforming the world.

Il volume raccoglie dieci testi scritti da Cesare Luporini (1909-1993) – figura centrale della filosofia italiana del Novecento e senatore della Repubblica militante nel Partito Comunista – letti in chiave pedagogica. Il marxismo di Luporini, riconosciuto a livello internazionale, si distingue per il rifiuto di ogni riduzione economicista o meccanicista della realtà sociale e rappresenta un modello di filosofia capace di unire rigore morale e impegno politico: la sua filosofia, anche nei risvolti educativi, non può essere compresa senza considerare che per lui il pensiero si sviluppa nella sua forma autentica solo quando si confronta con le condizioni morali e storiche che lo circoscrivono e lo drammatizzano. Una riflessione critica capace di tradursi in prassi collettiva anche nell’ambito delle scienze umane, sociali e in particolare pedagogiche, per trasformare il mondo.
