Synopsis Scripturae Sacrae (hereafter SynPsAth), attributed to Athanasius of Alexandria, is a collection of short notices on the Old and New Testaments, which has not yet been edited critically or given a specific study. In this article, we first propose an analysis of the manuscript tradition of the SynPsAth: firstly, through a brief overview of the witnesses, and then with a specific analysis of the content of some of them. In the second part of the article, we examine the structure and the content of the canonical books of the Old Testament in the SynPsAth, verifying the coherence between these notices and a programmatic proposal made by the author at the beginning of the text. The purpose of this study is to shed new light on the composition of the SynPsAth by starting with an analysis of its manuscript tradition and its content.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to shed new light on the composition of the SynPsAth by starting with an analysis of its manuscript tradition and its content.Pubblicazioni consigliate
